CASA PAYASA.
Una REFORMA DE EMERGENCIA que realizamos en pleno estado de alarma.

Parece ser que no hay un consenso general del origen de la palabra payaso y sus connotaciones son muy variadas.

Definir a un clown seguramente sea un ejercicio del que nunca nadie saldrá exitoso, y al igual que en esta casa, ni todo será totalmente verdadero ni absolutamente falso.

La casa payasa es una casa que nace en dos situaciones diferentes: una tranquila y otra convulsa, de ambas situaciones se han tomado matices que definen esta vivienda y que quizás se ría de las dos al mismo tiempo.

Como un clown, la casa payasa quiere hacernos reír, sentir y reflexionar con su visión del mundo y sus intentos de posarse por encima de sus fracasos. Nos muestra su vulnerabilidad sin tapujos, y eso la hace habitable. La casa payasa intenta parecer normal, por eso empezamos manteniendo la memoria de lo que un día fue y de quién vivió en ella, porque quiere ser amada por los demás, para enseguida descubrir que cuando abrimos la puerta al ingenuo, inocente, ridículo y estúpido personaje que todos somos, se puede soltar lo aprendido en nuestro camino hacia la adultez, desprendernos de las murallas que hemos edificado para protegernos, derrumbar las máscaras que nos hemos ido poniendo con los años y dejar aflorar la locura interna, recuperando en parte algunas de las pautas esenciales de cuando fuimos niños, y en ese momento los colores empiezan a colonizar el espacio que al mismo tiempo se empieza a resquebrajar, unas paredes se agujerean, otras desaparecen y una huella en el suelo es su último residuo.

La mar, los retales y una paleta de pintura son metáforas de las personas que una vez vivieron aquí, y la naturaleza que siempre acompaña a nuestros proyectos explota en colores por múltiples espacios, inocentes, vulnerables, torpes, curiosos, tiernos, tercos, espontáneos, entusiastas, juguetones, emotivos…

“Buscar nuestro clown es transitar un camino por nuestro interior. En primer lugar debemos reírnos de nosotros mismos, aceptarnos tal cual somos, con nuestros defectos, debilidades y virtudes. Sabiendo que estos “defectos”, “debilidades” y “virtudes” son solo ideas y juicios que tenemos acerca de nosotros mismos y juicios de los demás que hemos aceptado. Debemos mostrarnos abiertamente. Dejar ver nuestra humanidad. Sincerarnos: soy lo que soy y estoy muy feliz con ello…"

CLOWN HOUSE. An EMERGENCY partial renovation that we carried out during the covid lockdown. It seems that there is no general consensus on the origin of the word clown and its connotations are very varied. Defining a clown is surely an exercise from which no one will ever be successful, and just like in this house, neither everything will be totally true nor absolutely false. The Clown House is a house that is born in two different situations: one calm and the other convulsive, from both situations nuances have been taken that define this house and that perhaps laughs at both at the same time. “When you are on stage, you are in the light, and everyone who is there looking at you is in the dark. You are privileged to be in the light and your obligation is to illuminate those who are not as fortunate as you". Philippe Gaulier. Like a clown, the clown house wants to make us laugh, feel and reflect with its vision of the world and its attempts to rise above its failures. It shows us its vulnerability openly, and that makes it habitable. The clown house tries to appear normal, that's why we start by keeping the memory of what it once was and who lived in it, because they want to be loved by others, to immediately discover that when we open the door to the naive, innocent, ridiculous and stupid character that we all are, we can let go of what we have learned on our way to adulthood, detach ourselves from the walls that we have built to protect ourselves, tear down the masks that we have been putting on over the years and let the internal madness surface, partially recovering some of the essential guidelines of when we were children, and at that moment the colors begin to colonize the space that at the same time begins to crack, some walls are pierced, others disappear and a footprint on the floor is its last residue. The sea, the remnants and a paint palette are metaphors for the people who once lived here, and the nature that always accompanies our projects explodes in color through multiple spaces, innocent, vulnerable, clumsy, curious, tender, stubborn, spontaneous. , enthusiastic, playful, emotional… “Looking for our clown is to walk a path through our interior. First of all we must laugh at ourselves, accept ourselves as we are, with our defects, weaknesses and virtues. Knowing that these "defects", "weaknesses" and "virtues" are just ideas and judgments that we have about ourselves and judgments of others that we have accepted. We must show ourselves openly.
